(D) Please read Luke 2:5-7. The cloths mentioned are often referred to as swaddling cloths. Swaddling cloths were strips of cloth that were used for rags or bandages. Jesus was laid in a manger. A manger is what food for the animals was placed in for them to eat.
SUMMARY: If today, Mary had to ride a donkey from Webster to Syracuse & deliver her baby in a garage. The baby was wrapped in rags & placed in an animal food dish. This was God's plan to have Jesus come from the humblest of beginnings.
